Zentradi one-man tactical aerospace power armor that first appeared in the Macross Frontier TV series from 2008.
It is very similar to the Queadluun-Rau power suit from Choujikuu Yousai Macross and Macross: Do You Remember Love?. However, this mecha is even faster and has a more powerful thermonuclear reactor as well as an additional long-range beam cannon on its left shoulder (like the Nousjadeul-Ger power armor), giving it more anti-capital ship capabilities.
The Rea was developed by the N.U.N.S. for the Zentradi ally fleets. The latest type (Rea/56) is deployed with Zentradi immigration fleets and planetary migration missions.
This is the mecha of choice for Klan Klein and the Meltrandi S.M.S. Pixie Squadron.
In real life the Rea was designed by Ishigaki Jun'ya based on the original 80s design by Miyatake Kazutaka.
