Japanese science fiction and mecha illustrator born in Nishinomiya, Kobe City (Hyogo prefecture) on October 13, 1973. After graduating from the Shibaura lnstitute of Technology's Department of System Engineering (majoring in mechanical control systems), he became a freelance illustrator.

Later he established the Tenjin Studio Ltd., where he began working on plastic model box art, software and DVD cover art, illustrations, etc. - the most well know being for Macross, Gundam, Gradius V, etc. He also did animation work on the Macross Zero, Sousei no Aquarion and on the Gundam Evolve anime productions.

He has declared that his realistic art style is influenced by the works of Takani Yoshiyuki.
