An ancient celtic druidic means of sacrifice, a large effigy in the shape of a man is built out of straw, where the condemned or simply slaves are put within and set ablaze.
The only known source of the wicker man's existence is from the writings of Gaius Julius Caesar and earlier writings by Posidonius the historian.
