weser (azur lane)

ヴェーザー(アズールレーン) ヴェーザー 威悉

Azur Lane's personification of the German light aircraft carrier Weser.
Character design by Haori Io.

In-game, she is portrayed with short red hair and red eyes. Her outfit consists of a white military uniform with an Iron Cross medal on her left, a two-tone cape (red inner, black outer), necktie, black belt, black thighhighs, and black high-heeled thigh boots. Her short red hair leads many players to make references to Exusiai.

Her rig is identical to the Essex-class with a split-flight deck arrangement, but bearing Ironblood animal styles.

History

She was originally laid down and constructed as Seydlitz, the fourth Admiral Hipper-class heavy cruiser (not to be confused with the earlier SMS Seydlitz), but her completion as a heavy cruiser was cancelled in 1940 when she was almost complete to convert her to a light aircraft carrier.

Her conversion was stalled in 1943 and never resumed, ultimately being scuttled in 1945. The Soviets considered reusing some of her parts for Tallinn, but no work was ever done besides scrapping.
