A strange case of being two games at once for the second cardinal installment of the Mario platforming franchise, due to the American release of the 2 title putting out something different:

  • The Japanese version, referred to in the US as Super Mario Bros. 2: The Lost Levels
  • The American version, a reskin of the NES game Yume Koujou: Doki Doki Panic. Referred to as Super Mario Bros. USA in Japan.
