suika game
A puzzle game developed by AladdinX where you merge fruits to create a watermelon (suika in Japanese). Similar to the game "2048". The player drops a random fruit into a box. Fruits of the same type will merge into a different larger fruit, with the largest fruit being a watermelon. The game ends if the fruits overflow the box.
You start with the Cherry as the smallest fruit, then later on Strawberry, Grapes, Dekopon, Persimmons, Apples, Pears, Peaches, Pineapple, Melon/Cantaloupe, and finally, Watermelon.
The game has gained sudden popularity after it was played by various Japanese virtual YouTubers, though controversy after the developers forbade the clipping of the gameplay footage by third parties later caused the VTubers to switch to fan games/clones instead. The ban has since been lifted.
