Red as he appears when he was introduced in RGBY. He also appears with the same design in GSC.
Can be told apart from his FRLG redesign in that he wears an open jacket with short white sleeves and has a noticeably different hat with a rectangular white panel (which may or may not have an earth badge on it) instead of one with a Pokeball logo on it.
