A fictional mecha from the Gundam series. It first appeared in Zeta Gundam from 1985.
MRX-009 Psycho Gundam
A huge variable Mobile Suit (sometines labeled a Mobile Armor due to its enormous size and the secondary configuration on which it can transform) developed by the Titans to be piloted by Newtypes and Cyber-Newtypes. It resembles a colossal black Gundam (due to many of its experimental equipments such as the Psycommu, which gives it its name, being still new and not yet optimized in size). It was operated primarily by Four Murasame.
Cyber-Newtype Jill Ratokie was killed testing this mecha. The Psyco-Gundam is often referred to as an "evil machine" due to the fact that its psycommu is actually reversed in order to control the pilot and force them to fight. This technology was derived from the one used in the old Zeon Elmeth MA.
Evolved into the Psycho Gundam Mk II.
