The POÄNG armchair is a piece of furniture from IKEA, designed by Noboru Nakamura in collaboration with Lars Engman. Originally introduced in 1976 as the "Poem" chair, it was renamed "POÄNG" in 1992.
A notable design feature of this chair is its bentwood frame giving the chair a floaty look and a slight springy feel when sat upon.
