peter pan (novel character)

Titular character of the British story Peter Pan. Partner is the fairy Tinker Bell and rival is Captain Hook.

A mischievous, functionally immortal young boy who lives on the island of Neverland. While he is adventurous and serves as leader of his group of "Lost Boys", he is also somewhat immature and forgetful to the point of completely forgetting a person if they've been gone long enough or died. He has the ability to fly while his shadow is still attached to him; without it, he's flightless. Likes hearing stories, and it's partially the reason why he takes Wendy Darling and her two brothers to Neverland with him.

Known around London for crowing like a rooster on the rooftops at night and taking babies that have been out of their crib for more than a week. Depending on the adaptation, Peter can look like small child or an early adolescent.
