near miss

A character (or vehicle, etc.) in the picture is almost but not quite hit by a weapon, projectile, debris, or really any flying or falling object. This could be because they dodged, because an attacker aimed slightly off target (intentionally or not), or simply due to luck.

Very near misses may result in damage to clothing or objects/environment near the subject of the attack.
