James is the male half of the Team Rocket duo pursuing Ash Ketchum in the Pokémon anime and in Pokémon: The Electric Tale Of Pikachu. His partner in crime is Jessie.
In Japanese, he is named after the legendary swordsman Sasaki Kojirou.
