hero factory

ヒーローファクトリー HeroFactory hero_factory

A science fiction toyline of constructible action figures from LEGO that ran from 2010 to 2014. Replaced Bionicle after its discontinuation and introduced the Character and Creature Building System (CCBS) for constructible action figures. The premise behind the line focuses on the titular Hero Factory, which mass produces mechanical superheroes to respond to crises throughout the galaxy. A short animated series and comics for the line were released throughout it's run.

The line faced criticism for having much simpler sets and less intricate lore than Bionicle. Despite this, the CCBS pieces have since replaced Bionicle and Technic parts for LEGO's constructible action figures, and went on to be used for the 2015 Bionicle reboot, as well as Star Wars and Marvel sets.
