habanero pepper
A kind of chili pepper. As it matures it changes in color. Common colors are orange and red, but white, brown, and pink are also seen. Habaneros are known to be extremely spicy, rated 100,000–350,000 on the Scoville scale.
A snack food company in Japan uses this product to flavor chips that are shaped into rings. The popularity of this product spawned the character Habanero-tan.
