Gundam Reconguista in G (ガンダム Gのレコンギスタ Gandamu G no Rekongisuta), also known as G-Reco (Gレコ G-Rekko), is a 2014 Science Fiction Anime TV series and the thirteenth incarnation of Sunrise's Gundam franchise, created by Tomino Yoshiyuki.
The new series is Tomino's first major Gundam project since the 2005 Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam film trilogy and his latest Gundam TV series since Turn A Gundam. Reconguista debuted in fall 2014. The series lasted 26 episodes which were broadcasted in Japan from October 2014 until March 2015. A series of 5 recap films based on the anime were released from 2019 to 2022.
Reconguista is set in the "Reguild Century", an era set long time after the Universal Century, and follows the adventures of a pilot trainee named Bellri Zenam (Beruri Zenamu) in Capital Guard, an organization protecting an advanced space elevator.
The character designer for this series is Yoshida Kenichi. The mecha designers are Yasuda Akira, Gyōbu Ippei and Yamane Kimitoshi. Kanno Yugo is providing the soundtrack. A manga adaptation illustrated by Oota Tamon began publication in 2014.
