friedrich der grosse (azur lane)

フリードリヒ・デア・グローセ(アズールレーン) フリードリヒ・デア・グローセ Friedrich_der_Große 腓特烈大帝

Azur Lane's personification of the German battleship Friedrich der Große, as part of a collaboration with World of Warships. Character design by Enka (bcat), voiced by Nabatame Hitomi.

She is portrayed as a mature woman with long black hair covering her right eye, red mechanical horns, yellow eyes, and large breasts; who fancies herself an orchestra conductor. She sees the Commander and others as children, gently chiding them and being generally caring, unlike Roon.

Her default outfit consists of a double-breasted black dress, detached sleeves, red gloves, black thighhighs, and black boots. Her rigging consists of two animalistic hull pieces with all four of her 406 mm twin gun mounts.

History

The H-class proposals were a series of battleship designs meant to succeed Bismarck and significantly improve the Kriegsmarine's fighting capacity against the Royal Navy and Marine Nationale. Wartime materials shortages and the infrequent operations of Kriegsmarine following the sinking of Bismarck prevented further development of the designs.
The ships were also left unnamed, with Ulrich von Hutten being the closest to an actual name as attested by documented unofficial talks in the German Naval High Command.
