20th mainline game of the Touhou series. It was announced on April 12, 2025. However, the game immediately gained controversy after the demo’s release for using AI-generated backgrounds, together with a concurrent music takedown. Interestingly enough, the game's plot revolves around AI, with the final boss even having "AI" as her initials (in the Western naming order).
The trial released on May 5, 2025, with the full version being out on August 17, 2025.
