A Kemono Friends character. She is one of many "Friends" in Japari Park. She has yet to appear in any media outside of a guidebook.
The dog (Canis lupus familliaris) needs little introduction. As suggested from their trinomal name, it is the domesticated form of the Grey Wolf, having been so since the beginning of human civilization. Thanks to aggressive selective breeding and a very malleable genome, it has by far the widest phenotypic range of all domestic animals, ranging from the tiny Chihuahua (smaller to comparable to the Fennec fox, the smallest canid species) to the large mastiffs like the Great Dane (larger than actual grey wolves, whom also happen to be the largest canids). While it is considered a subspecies of wolf, their direct ancestors are long extinct and as a result, dogs are not closely related to extant wolves.
Dog (the Friend) is based on the Shiba Inu, the archetypical pet dog in Japan. For this reason, she is often conflated with the Doge meme.
