dempsey roll

A boxing technique developed and used by American boxer Jack Dempsey. It is also known as the signature move of Makunouchi Ippo from Hajime no Ippo.

To use this technique, the user lowers his/her stance and central balance and begins to aggressively weave his/her body in a pattern similar to the shape of a side way figure eight or infinity symbol. He/she then fires a series of rapidly executed punches from both left and right angles whilst continuing his/her bobbing and weaving.
