The Defender is the divine servant of the goddess Jure of Healing in the game Elona, and become party members of the faithful of Jure. Defenders are basically the game's equivalent to a paladin, and have high defensive traits and a unique ability to raise fallen allies from death once per day.

Defenders are one of the few servants that are always male.

Like many characters in Elona, Defender is just a "class name", and names for defenders are randomly generated upon spawning, meaning that they appear as something like "Nodestan the defender" in-game.
