chozo statue
Statues that appear throughout the Metroid series.
They are relics of an ancient Chozo civilization, left behind on various planets to immortalize them. In the statues' hands are often orbs that carry power-ups for Samus to acquire.
Rarely they can come alive and attack those who trespass. These are known as Torizo only in the English Super Metroid strategy guides.
