The main antagonist in Shadow the Hedgehog's self-titled game. His face has three yellow eyes and two large horns, and wears multiple comet-based pendants.
He is the leader of the Black Arms, an alien race that inhabits the Black Comet, which is said to pass near the Earth once every 50 years.
Black Doom aided Gerald Robotnik in the creation of Shadow by providing his DNA in exchange of receiving the seven Chaos Emeralds as an asset for his future invasion.
Shadow can align with Black Doom's army by carrying out Dark missions and having one of his eyes follow him, or support Sonic and his friends on their efforts against his invasion by completing Hero missions. Regardless, he acts as the game's final boss by assuming the two-headed form of Devil Doom, and dueling Super Shadow.
