bereshit (racehorse)

Named after the Hebrew name of the Book of Genesis, meaning "In (the) beginning". This is also the first word(s) of the book, and thus, of the Tanakh and the Old Testament.

Japanese racehorse. Sired by Epiphaneia and foaled by Chrono Genesis. Chrono Genesis' first foal, a dark bay colt with a star marking.
With the same owner (kind of a given in this case), trainer and main jockey as his mother, he won his debut race, a 1800m turf race in Kokura, the same specifications as his mother's debut race (but in late July, not early September).
