basic instinct (movie)

A 1992 neo-noir, erotic thriller Western film directed by Paul Verhoeven. It follows police detective Nick Curran (played by Michael Douglas) on a serial murder case, who gets sexually involved with the prime suspect, Catherine Tramell (played by Sharon Stone), a cunning and manipulative author. The film is famous and infamous for its overt depictions of sex and violence, which were highly explicit for its time. It's most famous for its interrogation scene, in which Tramell intentionally flashes herself while switching crossed legs in her seat.
