arshtat falenas
Arshtat Falenas (アルシュタート ファレナス) is a secondary character in Gensou Suikoden V, ruler of the Queendom of Falena, wife of Ferid Egan, sister of Sialeeds Falenas, and mother of the game's playable protagonist, Prince Freyjadour Falenas.
Years of political scheming by the country's two leading noble families wear at her conscience and patience, leaving her prone to psychotic outbursts fueled by the will and power of the sentient Sun Rune on her forehead. Some time prior to the beginning of Suikoden V, she loses control and turns the Sun Rune on the "rebelling" town of Lordlake, its extreme light and heat evaporating the town's namesake large lake and transforming the immediate vicinity into a dust bowl.
She is murdered relatively early in the game during a coup d'état by the Godwin family. Suffering a full psychotic break in which she murders her husband Ferid, she threatens to use the Sun Rune against the entire country. Georg Prime, following a request from Arshtat and the now-deceased Ferid, murders Arshtat before she can use the Sun Rune again.
