Areadbhar is one of the Heroes' Relics, tied to the Crest of Blaiddyd, and is therefore associated with Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd. It was previously wielded by his father, Lambert Egitte Blaiddyd. Wielders bearing any Crest of Blaiddyd are able to use a unique Combat Art, Atrocity, which grants greatly increased Might and Hit rates while dealing effective damage to everything. When the Crest of Blaiddyd activates upon using Atrocity, the resultant damage output ranks among the highest across the entire franchise, even moreso when dealing a critical hit.

Areadbhar also appears in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as Byleth's side special.
