    打掛 色打掛

A highly formal over-kimono. Uchikake is not to worn with an obi but is instead worn over a complete kimono outfit with obi.

Usually worn by the bride in a traditional Japanese wedding but not always. A pure white wedding uchikake is called shiromuku.
