Kantai Collection's personification of the Japanese destroyer Tanikaze, the fourteenth ship of the Kagerou-class destroyers.
She has short black hair with a white hairband. Like her division mates from the 17th Destroyer Division, she wears a short-sleeved white and blue button-up serafuku with a yellow scarf (similar to Yukikaze) on top of a Kagerou-class standard pleated skirt along with white thighhighs. On her back is her rigging, with an attached depth charge. Like most of the Kagerou-class, she wears white gloves. She dual wields two handguns, one resembling the standard 12.7 cm twin gun, the other resembling an anti-air gun.
She speaks like a stereotypical Edokko despite being built in Osaka. Thus, she is the opposite of Ryuujou (who speaks in Kansaiben but was built in Yokohama, just nearby Tokyo). Also, because of her accent, she has a good relationship with Suzukaze who shares the same accent, and is sometimes shown sprouting Burontisms.
She is a frequent victim of breast envy due the fact that she is only one in 17th Destroyers Division who has a flat chest and is often compared with her sisters and division mates Urakaze and Hamakaze who have large breasts.
