Tánghuà (糖画) is a traditional Chinese candy, also referred to as sugar painting, where images are made by manipulating hot, liquid sugar against a cool work surface such as marble or metal. The resulting candy is stuck to a skewer and removed by spatula. The candy image is usually two-dimensional, but layering can create three-dimensional versions.
