Eleventh game in the Touhou series, sixth in the Windows generation, and the second spinoff, as well as the first spinoff using the mainstream danmaku shooter format. Labeled as "Touhou 9.5".
The game serves as a tie-in to the official fanbook Bohemian Archive in Japanese Red, starring Shameimaru Aya in her picture-taking spree involving various characters from Embodiment of Scarlet Devil to Phantasmagoria of Flower View.
Preceded by Phantasmagoria of Flower View and followed by Mountain of Faith.
