A hairstyle in which the hair is tied at the back of the head with a hair tie, scrunchie, or similar device, and allowed to hang freely from that point.
These hairstyles should not be tagged ponytail because they don't involve the hair being tied at the back of the head in a single unstyled lock of hair.
