A traditional sports rally team in Japan. While it is basically doing the same thing as cheerleading does, it places more emphasis on making noise than on any acrobatics. Many posts either reference this or what some ouendan members are wearing: gakuran - long sleeved coats, headbands called hachimaki, an armband, and sometimes gloves.
