A mobile suit from the Gundam mechaverse.
The RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type are the mobile suits used by the the protagonists of Gundam 08th MS Team. It later became a popular addition in other Gundam video games and manga such as Gundam Lost War Chronicles.
The Ground Gundam is a less powerful but easier to repair and produce version of the RX-78-2 Gundam prototype created by the Earth Federation. It has the same color scheme as the RX-78-2 but there are key differences between the two. It has a yellow V-shaped head fin, no beam sabers on its backpack, a single vulcan gun mounted on its torso, and a different short shield.
