Google DeepMind's Go playing computer program which became the first to beat a professional human player without handicaps in October 2015 and won a series versus Lee Se-dol in March 2016. Se-dol had a 9-dan rank and was second in international titles at the time. AlphaGo was given an honorary 9-dan rank for the win.
