On 13 October 2024, Game Freak suffered a leak which revealed over a terabyte of data and information about Pokemon.

The contents of the leak that are relevant to Danbooru include:

• Several prototype designs for Pokémon from RSE to BW.
• Mythologically-themed stories which feature relations between humans and Pokémon, including Octillery, Typhlosion, and Slaking.
• Profiles for several NPCs, notably referring to Skyla as a "sexy pilot" and Hispanic.
